Melyssa Lombardi, Oregon Softball Head Coach Leads Practice

Melyssa Lombardi wraps up the 2019 Fall Ball season, her second as head coach of the Oregon Softball team. Coach Lombardi left The University of Oklahoma after a very successful 21-year tenure.

Coach Lombardi makes a very detailed and unique practice plan every day. The coaching staff often gets to run drills that simulate every aspect of softball. By keeping a detailed practice plan, Coach Lombardi can make the most of their time and improve the team.

Coach Lombardi likes to be very involved in practices. She hits for infield and outfield drills, gets on her hands and knees to work with catchers, demonstrates appropriate hitting techniques to hitters, and teaches proper pitching methods to pitchers.
